We checked in with Zubair to learn more about him.

So give me some thoughts about your time with the company. How do you feel about Allshore/Datum/Zepcom and working with American clients?

I have been working with clients from the US from the start of my career, and a few of the clients in my previous company were from Brazil too. I haven’t found any problems or issues in working with any of these clients. All were really great people and were very cooperative.

If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would it be?

It would be our holy places in Saudi Arabia.

So tell me about your family.

I got married in January 2008, and I have two daughters. One is 4 years old and other is 4 months. They are Allah’s beautiful gifts for me.

What do you and your family like to do together?

They just want me to be at home always, since I only get to see my family on the weekends.

Where do you stay during the week to be close to work?

In the previous office location, it was just in the same neighborhood as the office. Now, it takes about 20-30 minutes to drive.

Do you like sports?

Yes, I like cricket

Do you participate in friendly matches with some of your co-workers?

Because of our office hours here, I don’t get to play.

So your favorite sport is cricket, what about your favorite type of food?

Everything my wife prepares is my favorite!

What are 3 things you never leave home without?

When I am at home and not leaving for office (coming to Islamabad), I don’t care about anything. I leave everything at home: my mobile, wallet, card etc. When I am coming here though, I have to take all these with me.

If you could have a super hero power, what would it be?

I’d like to be like “The Flash” so that I can reach my home with a blink of eye.

What about music? Do you have a favorite type/band/or singer?

Well, I have religious lectures on my USB and I listen to them while I am driving. I also listen to a recitation of our holy book the Quran.

What is your favorite color?

I prefer shades of blue.

If you were on a deserted island in the middle of nowhere, and could only have 3 things, what items would you choose?

Well, I would like to only a plane with enough fuel to take me back home.

Zubair has worked with his current client, SuferNet, since the start of his time with Allshore. He has won the Consistent Excellence Award (CEA) twice. Zubair is currently in the thesis stage of work for his PhD at the Center for Advanced Studies in Engineering in Islamabad.
