Junaid, Khurram’s Team Lead, also praised his work. “Khurram has been doing excellent work for his current client. He has recently finished a large project for them and has done a fantastic job. They have now started him on another big project because of his previous amazing. His willingness, positive attitude, and outstanding work ethic are the things that make a good employee, co-worker and overall person, and someone that I would like to continue working with long-term.”
Would you share some thoughts with us about working with Allshore/Datum/Zepcom?
The model that Allshore/Datum/Zepcom follows is a unique model and I never worked with that model before joining here. It was new, challenging and unique and at the same time fun in the sense of learning and experimenting with a new model. People think that it’s so hard to follow, but I really enjoy it. It keeps you active all the time and why not tell your client what you are doing when you are doing it. If you are not working and sitting useless, then it becomes hard. I really like the way the organization has been structured. An employee has a direct access to the CEOs of the company and they hear and try to solve our problems. They are fair and straightforward not only in their words but also in their actions.
How did you become so fluent in English?
When I came out of school, I barely passed this subject with a mere 34%. Then in the first of year of college I was a complete failure in it. But after that I started seeing a change in myself: an interest in the language. Then I got a chance to work with a PhD. doctor in an engineering field who was from Romania. He knew Romanian, French and English. He said to me “You know the structure of the language and the only thing you need is to practice.” After that, I got a chance to go to Scotland where I did my practice for 3 years and mastered the skill. I even adopted their accent too, so a native would be really impressed when they talked to me. It was a new and unique experience in my life. Everything was new to me: the culture, the people, the weather, everything. It’s from there that I discovered that how much fun it is to learn new cultures and languages. The way I’m working here with American culture, creates more tolerance in me and I get to know new things about America.
So, tell us about your family.
I’m single. I live with my mother and siblings in a small house not too far away from my work place.
How many siblings do you have?
I have one brother and three sisters, and I’m the oldest one.
What do you all like to do in your free time?
We are just like an ordinary family. We chat, watch television together whenever we get a chance, order something exciting for dinner every now and again, and plan beautiful spring day picnics.
What do your hobbies include?
I have become more of a technology nerd now. I have to read and experiment a lot with new and emerging technologies, otherwise the pace at which these new technologies are coming out it will kick me out of the job. But I used to go and meet friends and eat out, that kind of stuff.
If you could have a super power, what would it be?
I’d make the world a better, joyful, and peaceful place for people instead of a miserable place for them. That’s what I want for my family, so why not want it for everyone so in that way my family will get it too!
Khurram earned his degree from the University Institute of Information Technology in Rawalpindi. Allshore also uses a training policy suggested by Khurram, which we call “The Khurram Policy” or “KP.”  This allows new developers to observe developers who are with clients in order to better understand how Allshore runs. He has won the Consistent Excellence Award (CEA) twice, and also received a laptop for completing 5000 billable hours.
